Named as America's Top Flea Market | Travel + Leisure 2012

What an honor and we couldn't agree more with Travel and Leisure naming us one of the top 15 flea markets in the world.

Here's a snippet of what they had to say:

This Sunday afternoon spectacle lures folks with its waterfront location on the Salmon Bay Ship Canal, live-music stage, street food (fresh-baked naan bread, Oaxacan tacos), and 180 vendors of antiques, imported handicrafts, and fresh-cut flowers. Bargain hunters should beeline for the garage at the east end of 34th Street: that’s where the real digging happens—vintage T-shirts, jewelry, picture frames, cowboy boots, and records, many hauled here by locals in lieu of staging a garage sale (thanks to lax day-of vendor registration policy and low fees).

Tip: For prime people-watching, stake out a table on the patio of Red Door pub on the east side of the market, which overlooks the action."; Sundays 10 a.m.–5 p.m. year-round. Free admission.
